The subway works efficiently, and the area outside this station is quiet.
The view is really good.
A nice place.
Pagano could really use an island platform, like Gioia M2, to make changing trains easier on this branch line. The station opened in 1964, then became a branch in 1966 when the Pagano-Gambara section opened. Its tunnel junction is a ram-jump, so the tracks cross at different heights: the line for Wagner-Bisceglie runs below the two tracks for Buonarroti-Rho Fiera. The point switch for choosing Buonarroti or Wagner sits in the correct position for Buonarroti-Rho Fiera, and to the right for Wagner-Bisceglie. For about three years, it has had a white LED turnout signal under Art. 69 of the RFI Signal Regulations. The vertical line indicates the straight route; the right-hand arrow, with no tail, indicates the turn to the right. When the route is clear, the departure signal also shows the setting: a vertical stripe for Rho Fiera, or a slanted "/" for Bisceglie. I've always checked the switch needles through the train windows when arriving from Wagner or Buonarroti to work out whether the approaching train is for Bisceglie or Rho Fiera.
