Sheva Boutique Hotel

Getting there was a little strange, since it’s just a few rooms tucked inside a big building with no proper reception. But the location is exceptional, and parking nearby was easy, 25EUR for 24h. The room had a lovely boutique feel, and the bathroom was spacious and very nice. The air conditioning worked great, which isn’t always a given in Italy. I’d stay again.

For 358 euro per night, I expected more. There wasn’t even a free bottle of water, and the rooms were very basic. The bathroom door is so thin you can hear everything, and it feels like someone is showering in the bedroom. This is a regular apartment split into rooms, not really a hotel. Reception is only open for limited hours, checkout is very early, and the receptionists were rude and didn’t speak English, except for the lady on the last evening.

Finding the place was a pain. You have to buzz into a gated building, and it was annoying to locate at first. Once inside, though, I thought it was good for the price and location. The room was nicely designed, clean, and had all the amenities. It was pretty loud.

The tram stop is right outside my room, and a tram comes by every 5-10 minutes. It was extremely noisy, and closing the window barely helped.
