The ticket machines let you choose from several languages, and they can even send the ticket to your WhatsApp so you don't have to worry about losing it. Getting here by bus or metro is easy. The station's a little old, but it's clean and nice. Shopping is limited to a convenience store and basic café items.

I paid €15 for the trip, a little pricey, though the comfort made it worthwhile. The train has first-class seats only, with plenty of room and a fairly quiet atmosphere. You can choose any seat, and a window gives you views of Milan and the countryside. I took it from Milan Cadorna to Malpensa Aeroporto T1 at the end of my Milan trip. Booking through the Trenitalia app was simple: enter those stations, choose a departure time, and buy the ticket. There are no gate checks at the station. Instead, tickets are inspected randomly on board, with heavy fines for fare evasion. It's strict, but means fewer repeated checks and a smoother journey.

This smaller terminus in central Milano is easy to find your way around. There are coffee bars inside, and you can connect to the Metro.

Getting around is quick, with regular trains and metros. The metro lines are clearly marked and color-coded, so it's hard to get confused. Sadly, none of the toilets were working, and you have to pay to use them.
