I’ve never stayed anywhere worse. The room was in no state to be presented, with dust on the bedside tables and the shelf by the pillows, plus a neglected-looking window frame and curtains. Service was missing too: I was there for the weekend, got checked in, and then nobody came back. I highly recommend it.

The floors really let the place down. They were poorly cleaned, and at these prices I expected more. Vip's Residence itself is a quiet place with a 1970s feel, right in the heart of Milan. The management was exceptional, courteous, and always helpful.

Vips Residence was basic but okay, without anything fancy or luxurious. The beds in the living room were the real problem: tiny, with thin mattresses that sagged in the middle. They were among the worst beds I’ve slept in.

The location worked well, a short distance from the Duomo, and the metro is only 100 meters away. The apartment was clean, with parquet flooring, 1970s-style furniture, and a small kitchenette that had what we needed.

The bathroom was a bit of a walk, and honestly it smelled strongly and wasn’t very clean. We found a big insect in my children’s suite, so they all came over to my suite. They wouldn’t switch the suite for us. They just said they’d come back and clean it, but the children refused to sleep there.
