The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were all very friendly. We enjoyed our stay a lot in this comfortable, nice apartment, close to the seaside and to the castello di milazzo. The hosts were helpful and gave us good recommendations for exploring nearby. We'd definitely come back!

The host was very kind, the place was clean, and the price was very good too.

We stayed from August 4th to 9th, two adults and two children. The house is really a studio apartment, which wasn't clear from the photos, in a characteristic part of historic central Milazzo, steps from the seafront and plenty of businesses. Parking was relatively easy every time. The owner was kind and reachable by phone, though we never met in person. Sadly, that's where the positives end. It's dark, with just one window, the French window that serves as the entrance, and it's damp and smells moldy. There's no closet, just a small cupboard for suitcases, so nowhere to put clothes. It's listed for five people, but in my view it can fit two at most. Having five beds doesn't make it suitable for five people. The sheets are synthetic, and I worried they weren't changed for every arrival. I stripped the beds and left them outside in the sun to air. The place felt dirty overall. On three of our five nights, I found huge cockroaches roaming around the kitchen looking for food. I had to seal up all the food, cutlery, plates, and glasses, and keep our suitcases shut tight so no unwanted stowaways would come home with us. The owner simply said they were from out of town, without showing concern or saying how the problem might be fixed. I'd only recommend this for a couple with no children for one night, especially since it's not cheap.

It's a comfortable apartment close to the city center and just a stone's throw from the port. But the water heater was off when I arrived, so I had a cold shower. There wasn't anything for breakfast, not even coffee. The phone inside had no reception, though the Wi-Fi worked.
