Minori had a lovely mix of local life and easy access to the main tourist spots. We enjoyed its restaurants, pastisseria, and supermarkets, and the stairs up from the village were fine for us, with beautiful views along the way. We'd love to return after such a wonderful stay. The house was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom, and a very comfortable bed that had a sea view. The view from the house was the real highlight, especially watching the light change over the water. Filomena was a warm, kind host. She brought fresh breakfast each morning, with homemade cake and jams, fruit from the garden, fresh bread, and cheese. Chatting with her was always a pleasure, and her husband Mario welcomed us kindly when we arrived.

I can’t recommend TakeAmalficoast after our stay. The biggest concern was our privacy: the owner entered the apartment without telling us or getting our consent, apparently just to take pictures. She didn’t clean, fix anything, or bring anything in. She came by without our knowledge, but the apartment was never cleaned during our stay. So I’m left wondering what she was doing there besides taking photos. Breakfast wasn’t really provided either, just two dry pieces of toast and jelly that we didn’t eat. The floor was dirty, though the apartment looked clean at first, and there was a gap beneath the door that ants kept coming through. That made the stay unpleasant, especially for the price. I chose the property in part because it was advertised as pet-friendly, with dogs allowed at no extra charge. I brought my 12 year old dog because she gets anxious if I’m away from her for several days. She mostly stayed in, since she isn’t as active as when she was younger, but I still walked her twice daily and took her to lie with me at the beach in the morning. What the listing didn’t mention was that the owner has around 12 dogs on the property, and they bark constantly. If you want somewhere quiet and relaxing, this may not suit you. At checkout, the owner showed me a photo of a sheet that had fallen on the floor and accused me of letting my dog sleep on it. She wanted €50 compensation, although no such rule or charge had been mentioned in the listing or messages. When I calmly questioned it, she shouted at me aggressively and in a way I found intimidating. Soon after, her husband called me and shouted too. Instead of sorting things out, he said I was “lucky” he wasn’t there in person because, as he put it, he wouldn’t have let us leave. That felt threatening and unprofessional, and left us feeling unsafe. The privacy issue, ants, constant barking, and the hosts' aggression made this stay disturbing and deeply disappointing. It fell far below an acceptable standard, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for more respectful, professional accommodation.

We can’t wait to come back. The house felt magical, with beautiful Mediterranean views from every room, lovely decor, a well-equipped kitchen, and a gorgeous deck. Mario was an amazing host. He met us at the house, showed us around the home and area, and was there for all our questions. So kind, friendly, and helpful.

The room was spacious and clean, with a stunning view. Upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom, while the kitchen and dining room were downstairs. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and full of local things. Mario and Filomena are so kind, and my daughter misses you both a lot! We loved being here and could really relax and feel part of local life. Highly recommend!

We met Filomena's father by chance while heading to Minori, and he invited us to see his lemon garden beside Mario and Philomena's home. Once we arrived, they welcomed us and, just minutes later, served us a real feast with homemade wine and Limoncello. Mario and Filomena were witty, kind, and incredibly helpful hosts. Staying in their picturesque home was a highlight of our Amalfi coast trip.
