The hotel is well placed between the train station and the old town, and the service responds fairly quickly. The room was nice, with a particularly good-sized bathroom, and there was enough space for our things, though it wasn’t comfortable to work in. The boiler didn’t work. When I asked the night receptionist, he said he could bring hot water but couldn’t provide another boiler. He, or the manager, didn’t seem to understand that this didn’t solve the problem.

We only needed a room for the night before our flight, and the hotel was lovely. The staff were very accommodating. At happy hour, Vito at the bar made my wife toasted sandwiches without meat, even though they’re usually made with ham. We had them with a bottle of prosecco, a perfect end to our trip.

The facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly. It’s handy for the city center. We didn’t try breakfast, but it looked decent, maybe good.

The staff were so helpful, and the location and rooms were perfect. The man at reception printed a city map and shuttle timetables for us, then checked the railway company’s website too. This was our third hotel in Italy on the trip, and the service stood out.

We paid luxury prices for a place that didn’t feel luxurious. The rooms are tiny, a bit shabby, and have a strange smell. Food was poor, and you can hear everything from the room across the hall. The front desk staff were very kind, but that couldn’t make up for the hotel itself. The electricity was also problematic and fried my expensive hairdryer, which I’d used all over Italy.
