Active Alm Hotel

After skiing, the sauna and pool were a lovely way to unwind. The pool isn't very big, but it's thoughtfully designed and has a stunning view. Food was another strong point: the buffet was amazing, even the plentiful afternoon snacks, and dinner had satisfying fish and meat choices plus appetizer options at the buffet. My child could always find something, though I did wonder why apple strudel appeared every day. Getting around worked smoothly for us. We arrived by public transport: from Bolzano, bus 180 leaves a few steps from the train station and runs hourly during ski season. Ask the hotel for free tickets. The hotel also offers pickup from Vigo di Fassa, about a 10-minute drive away, and drop-off and pickup for Alpe Lusia/Ronchi. Alpe Lusia may not suit very beginner skiers, but from Ronchi you can take a ski bus to San Pellegrino for slopes ranging from blue to black. Our room was quiet and spacious, and the elevator was well placed far from the nearest room, which helped me sleep. A note for Asian guests: there isn't a kettle in the room, though you can get hot water at the bar. Manager Davide was considerate and flexible. We'd been emailing back and forth from 2024 to 2025, and he was patient throughout. Once he learned my child was a picky eater, he kept checking in about the food. His generosity made my day. Luciana at reception was easy to reach when we needed something, and Vicenzo in the restaurant was so much fun that my child really liked him. We had an incredibly comfortable ski holiday at Active Alm hotel, and we'll definitely come back.

The caring staff and shuttle access to nearby ski areas made our stay easy, and the food was great. We chose this charming Inn in Moena as a base for Olympic events in nearby Predazzo.

Dorian and Monica were wonderful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. They handled our group's food intolerances easily and made us feel like part of the family. The wellness facilities were lovely too. We had great rooms, five-star service, and an incredible range of food at breakfast and dinner. Fabulous stay!

Davide, one of the managers we spoke with most, was thoughtful at every turn and always ready to make our stay as good as possible. The whole staff were helpful, quick with tips, and ready to assist. We travel a lot and have stayed in plenty of places, but Active Alm stood out for its location, atmosphere, and food. It's been our best hotel experience over the years.
