I've stayed here three times and really enjoy the hotel's history. It's an older place with few amenities, no gym or pool, but the owners' warm kindness, the homely comfort, and the amazing food make up for that. The location is great too. Thank you Vincenzo and Maria!

The rooms smelled bad and felt very old, and you can hear everything from the other rooms. After 10 p.m. they lock the hotel doors without telling you. You might go out for dinner and find yourself locked out when you return. The only other entrance sets off a very loud alarm that disturbs the hotel. Terrible rooms.

The AC barely worked, and the rooms were awful, with old furniture, a bad smell, and no sound insulation. Honestly, even one star is too much. I won't come back.

8/10
The rooms are basic, with no tea or coffee facilities, but they were clean and serviced every day. The hosts were warm and friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel is right in central Montecatini, with easy access to the station and main sights. Very reasonable rates.

We wanted somewhere that would help us feel like we were experiencing Italy, and this place was just right. It's basic, with no frills, but easy to walk to from the station and other spots in town. There was a home-cooked meal every night and continental breakfast each morning. Bring earplugs, as the streets stay noisy at night and business starts early.
