Brennero Varsavia

The rooms were tiny and impractical, and we were given only two towels. Air conditioning is switched off overnight and doesn't come back on until 2 p.m., so the many mosquitoes made it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was very modest, as in most Italian places. I'm not satisfied with this hotel and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The owners are good people and the service was nice. We got plenty of food at breakfast, but it was the same every day. The room was an okay size, though the bathroom was very small, and we had to wait a few minutes for warm shower water. The hotel feels like it's from the 80's. All in all, a very good experience.

We stayed here twice with a travel agency. It's a friendly little hotel with an authentic look, close to the centre and train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and big enough for two.

I can't understand the positive ratings. I was there for a week at the end of September 2021, when it was almost 30 degrees every day, and the heat in the town was just as bad inside my room at Brennero and Varsavia. I couldn't sleep. Despite several requests, management wouldn't turn on the air conditioning, saying it was already off-season. It felt more like mid-July. The entrance has a big sign saying "aria condizionata" (air condition), which made their refusal even more disrespectful. First I asked the man at reception, but he declined, saying other guests had complained their rooms were too cold. I don't understand that, since each guest can switch the air conditioning on and off individually. Then I asked our travel group leader to speak with management, but that got nowhere. I also asked my travel agency for help. Nothing happened. On my last day there wasn't even toilet paper in my bathroom. Was that some kind of sweet revenge by management? This hotel gets no more than one out of five stars.
