Casa Gala

I wish we'd gone to one of the much better restaurants just 10 seconds away. Casa Gala left me annoyed. The prices were already high, and the small portions made them feel even worse. We ordered two steaks, rare and medium, but the medium one came sliced very thin instead of cooked as requested.

I'm from Pennsylvania and don't usually write reviews while on vacation, but the steak here was better than any I've had at Progress Grille, Tavern on the Hill, Mangia Qui in PA, or even world famous Byrnes Steakhouse in Tampa. Those are all fine dining places, and none came close to this one in a random town in Italy. The little Mozzarella sandwiches with all the sauces were amazing, and the jelly/honey was mind blowing. The vegetables with the lamb chops were incredible too. It's a cozy, welcoming place in a nice location, good for a nice night out. I can't speak for the hotel, though I'm sure it's on par with the restaurant's quality.

The flavors in every course were out of this world, and the decor was beautiful. My wife and I came for lunch as vegetarians. It was really busy, but they brought us complimentary antipasto. A real diamond in the heart of Tuscany. We want to come back as soon as possible. 1000% recommended! Well done, everyone.

The little square where this place sits looks especially pretty at night. We had a wonderful meal here the other night, and all eight of us enjoyed it. One person in our party said it was one of the best steaks they'd ever had. It's a lovely family-run restaurant, and the owners were all friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend eating here.
