Grand Hotel & La Pace

The hotel itself is a pleasure, with authentic interiors and fantastic bathrooms. Our group was kept out of the larger, beautiful restaurant for three of our four breakfasts. The smaller restaurant had noticeably less varied, lower quality food, though the service there was excellent too. On arrival, our room was changed because another guest complained in a rather aggressive manner. We first got a lovely, huge suite on the third floor, then were moved to a small, narrow room on the first floor. We weren't pleased about that. I'd recommend the hotel, but pay close attention to the details of your stay, since you may be the only one doing so.

Reception staff gave us excellent sightseeing information and recommendations, and responded to all our requests. The restaurant team were attentive and very professional, a refreshing experience these days. We didn't get to try the spa on our short visit, though the facilities looked good. This beautiful traditional hotel is a great base for touring Tuscany. Our spacious room had a comfortable bed and good quality linens. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choices, served in the grand ballroom. I particularly liked the cooked apples and poached pears, as well as the smoked salmon, eggs, and bacon. We'd return and recommend it to friends. Thank you.

The concierge offered helpful suggestions each day and arranged an exceptional winery tour for us. Every staff member was welcoming, especially Luigi at breakfast. The cocktails were the work of a true master bartender, and all the service was exceptional. We loved this grand old hotel and had a wonderful time in Montecatini. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely garden view, and the bathroom was the largest we had in Italy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful in the beautiful grand ballroom. It's a great base for visiting Tuscany. I'd definitely recommend it, look forward to coming back, and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Montecatini.

We really enjoyed staying at La Pace in Montecatini. The staff and service were great, and we loved sitting in the lounge each evening to listen to live music. It's very convenient, just a short walk from the city center and train station. Our room was lovely and large, as was the bathroom, and we could see the courtyard from our room. Breakfast was great, both the food and service, in a beautiful dining room. This hotel's a gem, and we look forward to coming back.
