La Siroque

The local village of Montecatini Val di Cecina had four restaurants and bars, a small bank, and a convenience store, so we could stay nearby when we didn't feel like going farther. We ate some fantastic meals there and watched the sun set. The villa's location also made it easy to visit Florence, Volterra, Pisa, Siena, the surrounding area, and a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Francesco welcomed us and was available all week, though we didn't need anything. He left us a delicious homemade cake made by his wife, which went down very well with afternoon tea and coffee, along with a sublime bottle of wine from the winery. We bought several bottles to take home to the UK and enjoy with happy memories. My family and I have just spent the most amazing week here. The beauty around the property had us in awe from the moment we arrived until we left. The villa was extremely comfortable, with good quality mattresses, top quality linen, and a kitchen that had everything we needed to cook. The pool area was amazing, with breathtaking views. It was a perfect family holiday, and we were all very sad to leave, though we'll return in the future. Five stars plus in every way. The house itself was a real treat: spacious rooms, quality furnishings, and a large kitchen with everything we needed. There was even a beautiful TV with Sky and a billiards table in the living room. Outside, we enjoyed the immaculately kept garden, comfy outdoor sofas, BBQ, herb garden, ping-pong table, soccer and volleyball court, and lovely veranda with a table and chairs. The pool looked irresistible, and my son and I even swam in it in November. There are walks around the large, fully fenced property, which was a paradise for dogs. The villa sits among vineyards with spectacular hill views. The nearby town is beautiful and quaint, just 5 minutes away, with all the essential amenities. We also saw the most fun Halloween party in the town center that we've ever been to. The villa and the time with our longtime friends made this a memorable vacation. Definitely recommended.
