The hotel is modest but clean and comfortable. It has been renovated, and the restaurant service is about in line with the rest of the place.

With our baby in a high chair, my wife and I had a Sunday lunch here. The waiters and owner were extremely kind and helpful, and both the cooking and the dishes themselves were excellent. We had appetizers, a first course, two main courses, two desserts, coffee, a liqueur, two bottles of water, and a bottle of local wine. I still think well of the meal, but €90 felt like too much for what we ate. I'm sorry, but with a family of four, we're unlikely to come back.

After decades of work travel and stays in all kinds of places, I've never written a negative review before. I'm usually someone who adapts. Still, I don't think it's fair when some hotels get ratings and reviews much higher than they deserve. Before arguing with me, try staying there and judge for yourself.
