The bed linen was stained and dirty, and the sheets had the same problem. After a long journey, we found the water freezing when we tried to shower. I called the staff, but no one picked up, and my messages went unanswered. Only after at least 10 calls and as many messages did they text that they were sorry and would find a plumber. I asked when anyone would come to fix it and still got no reply to calls or messages. There was no refund, apology, or anything. Getting to the room was another problem. The stair light switched off after five seconds, and we had no idea where the button was. A real disaster. I wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

The location isn't ideal, though central Sarzana is only a few minutes away by car. For the price, the service was excellent, and they were very helpful when I asked for a late checkout, even though there's no reception. One inconvenience: the room key card is also needed to switch on the heating, so you could come back to a cold room, or find it hot in summer. Good value overall.

With 4 degrees outside, my room was cold, and it wasn't clean either. I messaged at 8 pm last night to say the heating wasn't working and still haven't had a reply. My boss had booked me for two nights while I attended a course, with lots of emphasis on the room being warm and clean, but I found neither. For a guest house, the rates aren't especially cheap. It's been an experience, but I won't choose it for future courses. I'll be coming back.

The manager said the cleaning lady would come, but she never showed up, and we're still waiting. We found hairs on the sheets as soon as we removed the bedspread, and the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Never again. I really wouldn't recommend it.

Having McDonald's and Lidl across the street was handy, with a post office behind them. We had a comfortable room, though it did have a few flaws, and the price was excellent for that time of year. The location works well if you're driving. We had a great stay and would recommend it.
