We arrived around 2 p.m. and took the waiter’s advice on three pastas. Great choices, all homemade, generous portions, and brought out quickly. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. If you love pasta, try the Pici with meat sauce, Tagliolini cherry tomatoes and garlic, or pici with tomato and garlic. It was hot outside, but the balcony where we sat was comfortable.

We popped in for lunch while exploring town and had a great time. The antipasti platter for two was generous, with a lovely range of crostini, charcuterie, cheese and more. Definitely recommend it.

The service was fantastic and the food really tasty. The only downside was a bit of a smoky smell in the place from the barbecue or grill. Our clothes smelled quite strongly when we left.

We were wandering Montepulciano in the evening when we came across this charming little corner restaurant. They welcomed us warmly and politely, and managed to seat six of us at short notice, with plenty of room. Each course was a delicious surprise, one after another. The ravioli, Florentine steak and panna cotta with forest fruits made for a wonderful end to the meal.

As a native Italian, I can say the food tasted genuinely Italian. Everything I ordered, from pici with ragù to sautéed broccoli and lamb ribs, was delicious. The other diners’ dishes looked just as good, and the staff were very friendly.
