The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the place felt peaceful at night with a lovely setting in the daytime. Breakfast was really good too, though fairly simple in low season. I've stayed at Foresteria twice now, and Antonio and the staff are such lovely people. It may be the best B&B in town. I'd happily recommend it to anyone coming to Montescaglioso.

The location is fantastic, the price was great, and our room was clean and had air conditioning. They were also very mindful of the COVID situation. One tip: trust the owner when he says not to use Google Maps to get there. Following it meant driving up to the old town's high walls, which was quite an adventure. The owner was so welcoming and shared lots of useful tips, plus a free parking tag and a space right in front of the B&B, and an easy breakfast option. Definitely recommend it.

We were right in the center of Montescalioso, yet the room stayed quiet despite the outside noise, and the view was lovely. It's also a good base for Matera, about a 30-minute drive, while staying away from the tourist crowds. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, checking when we'd arrive, advising us how to reach the place and what to see, and even keeping a spot for us at the nearby public parking and paying the ticket. The place itself was clean, cozy, and furnished with new pieces. Perfect, highly recommend!
