Villa Pongina with private pool

Villa Pongina was a great place for our group of 12 to spend a week in August. The two spacious, well-furnished buildings are just a few steps apart, and both were comfortable for a large group. Under the gazebo, there’s a big table where everyone could eat together. All the rooms have air conditioning, and we were supplied with linens, including sheets, towels, and pool towels, as well as the kitchen utensils we needed. Giorgia and Mauro gave us a warm welcome and were always on hand for requests. Serena helped throughout the booking, answering our questions clearly and precisely. The villa is surrounded by Tuscan countryside and a lovely vineyard, with a private pool and Jacuzzi. There’s plenty of parking, including two covered spaces. Montevarchi is very close, and it’s easy to get to the town center, pharmacies, restaurants, supermarkets, and fuel stations offering gasoline, diesel, natural gas, and LPG. With a car, Chianti and its spectacular scenery are easy to explore, as are Florence, Siena, and Arezzo, about 30 minutes away. A couple of things could be better. The shower sometimes ran too cold or changed temperature too much, so the water heating could use improvement. A larger pool would have been nice, though the Jacuzzi makes up for that to a large extent. Also, wasps are normal in the countryside, so come prepared. I highly recommend Villa Pongina for families or groups of friends. You won’t regret staying here.
