Hotel Manuela

The pink decor was a little much for my taste, though it was pleasant enough.

The staff were so kind and attentive, and the whole place had a lovely, harmonious feel. It's a family-run Art Nouveau hotel close to the beach, with furnishings that show real care for detail and cleanliness that's impeccable. Our room had all the comforts we needed, including a minibar with water and soft drinks. The bathroom was small but thoughtfully arranged, and the complimentary toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit, savory options, sweets, and especially delicious homemade cakes. Highly recommended.

The wooden gazebo was a lovely place to sit in the shade among the greenery. The hotel is about 300 meters from the sea, an easy walk, and Forte dei marmi is only a few minutes away. The staff were genuinely kind, and our room was cute and welcoming. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and fish was always available at both lunch and dinner. Prices were more than reasonable.

It was a lovely, peaceful spot, and the view over pine trees and rooftops was nice, with just a small glimpse of the sea. I’d ask for room 18. Our double room felt a bit tight for two adults, though we weren’t there to spend much time indoors. The cleaning staff could have picked up their own hair more carefully. The air conditioning only moved the air around instead of cooling it, which may have been better for my health. We opened both balcony doors and enjoyed the breeze. Breakfast was fine, but some rolls alongside the croissants and toast would have been nice. On my second morning I ordered an Americano after having regular coffee the first day and being a little disappointed. It came in a pot, but tasted slightly stale or perhaps had been brewed too hot. The owners and staff were very friendly, and managed to explain everything to me despite my not speaking Italian. Thanks, we’d happily return.
