New Year's Eve was lovely: the set meal was delicious, the evening felt calm, and later we had champagne outside with fireworks. We booked at the very last minute, from 29 Dec to 1 Jan, after Caremma was full, as were many other hotels. Denise, the owner, suggested Hotel Morimondo. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were staying somewhere else and needed meat and cheese from Caremma, so Denise arranged to have it sent to Morimondo with ice. The rooms are simple, as other reviews say, but neat, and the beds are comfortable. We found it a comfortable, dog-friendly stay. Maybe some reviewers are comparing it with hotels in Milan, but this is a village hotel and a sister hotel to Casina Caremma, an agriturismo, so the traditional setting suits it. Grazie Mille!

There are plenty of Pokémon Go activities in the area. It's a simple place to stay, and the staff helped us sort out a few minor room issues when we asked.

Breakfast was really good, with lots of homemade sweet and savoury things. The rooms are small but okay, with no fancy extras. It's simple, honest accommodation in a historic complex, and a great spot for cyclists or trekking.

The town has a romantic setting, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We were five people, and the bathroom was far too small. Breakfast was poor, and the hotel's Wi-Fi wasn't working. For the location and the rooms, it felt quite expensive.
