Sigonella Inn

The rooms are old but clean, and the bathrooms need renovation. Breakfast used to be better, with more choice. Now there's plastic cutlery and cups for the fully automatic coffee machine. On my last stay, they had normal cups and cutlery. The hotel itself is okay.

My wife and I had an unpleasant time trying to eat both lunch and a sit-down dinner, and we left without eating after tasting the food. The dining room and bar service was almost a comedy in motion. Breakfast was barely there, with poor quality and little choice. The rooms were worn, dirty, and outdated. An absolutely horrific experience.

We paid €65 per person for a formal dinner, but the food was more like a €25 buffet: overcooked, tough, and bland. Six of us became very sick a few days later. The only thing we all had in common was that dinner. You're not supposed to drink the hotel's water, so I'm guessing they used it in the food without boiling it. I also found a dead cockroach in the hallway.

We went to an official dinner, and one star feels far too generous. The agreed sit-down meal was replaced with a buffet, and the cutlery was dirty. The food was like something from a horror story. They'd run out of all the liquor before the event was even halfway through. I absolutely don't recommend this place for events. Find somewhere else, this was a joke, and not a funny one!!!
