Getting in and out was easy, even after hours, since guests use a code for the front door and don't need to leave their key at reception. There's no bar, though the hotel also runs the restaurant next to reception. The breakfast was a real spread, from fruit, cereal, pancakes and pastries to savory rice, eggs, salads, cheeses, cold cuts, bread, streaky bacon and frankfurters. Plenty of hot and cold drinks, too, and the waitresses were friendly and efficient. The complimentary olive oil shampoo and body wash came in generous amounts, not tiny sachets. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily service from polite, friendly maids. The downside was how thin the walls were. We could hear lights switching, toilets flushing and TVs in adjoining rooms. Still, we had a good stay and would definitely come back.

The staff were pleasant, and the hotel was clean. Our room was cleaned daily, though they ran out of toilet paper and we had to get a roll from reception after returning from a tour. Breakfast had a decent mix of sweet and savory food, but it was nearly the same every day. We booked through a Newmarket package at the start of May. I'd read the reviews first, but we went ahead because we expected to spend little time in the hotel and it was the cheapest package option. The room was tiny, though it also had a balcony with tables and chairs on the first floor. The TV was small, with just one English channel, the news, so kids hoping to watch something before bed may be disappointed. There was no air conditioning; another guest said reception told them it wouldn't start until the end of May. The Wi-Fi stopped working after a few days. The restaurant felt chaotic. On our second day we went in just for a drink after dinner and saw a small argument among staff. We decided to eat elsewhere for the rest of the trip, though we did have dinner there once. The food was nice, but the staff still seemed to be rushing around like headless chickens. There wasn't night entertainment beyond singers performing by the lake. Even with those drawbacks, it's an OK place if you're not going to be stuck in your room much. The staff are pleasant.

The location is the big draw: the lake is right outside, with four restaurants nearby, and there was some singing on a few nights. Air conditioning was brilliant. The rooms are a bit small, and the shower in room 311 seemed made for an extremely small person. Breakfast had everything you needed, though the lift was a little slow.

The location was exceptional, and breakfast offered plenty of choice and was good. Most of the staff were lovely, and the rooms were kept very clean. My single room, though, was tiny, and the bed was no wider than 2' 6".

Hugo and his lovely mother made us feel looked after. They were happy to help and give advice about the area. The hotel has a personal feel, and we'd certainly stay again if we return to Lake Garda. There's a small terrace overlooking the lake for guests, which was great for having a takeaway pizza and a bottle of wine or beers. We spent a couple of days hiking nearby and hired bikes from Mandelli Bike Shop, which we highly recommend. The lake ferry terminal is a short walk away. Day Tickets are available at a discounted price from the "Info & Booking" shop almost opposite the terminal. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, and the location was beautiful. Breakfast on the terrace was great, with cereal, pastries, breads, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt and eggs. It was kept well stocked throughout service.
