Quaint and really peaceful once you find the place!

The rooms are basic but have what you need, and the place itself was clean and tidy. I found the bed comfortable, with adequate linens. Staff presence is limited, and attraction information is available in brochures on the desk by the entrance. Breakfast is the traditional Italian kind, coffee or cappuccino with something sweet or savory, water, and fruit juice. You get it at a café about 200 meters away on flat ground, and you can leave your luggage there after checkout. In my view, though, the services don't justify the price. Access is a serious challenge for anyone with limited mobility. There's a staircase up to the entrance hall, and the surrounding area isn't wheelchair accessible. The uneven pavement is tiring whether you're using a wheelchair or being pushed in one. The exterior door is shared with other buildings and also admits vehicles. It shuts in the evening, so guests have to use a small pedestrian door built into it. The passage is narrow, has a high lip a wheelchair has to get over, and there's not enough room unless the chair is folded. Anyone who uses a wheelchair or cares for someone with limited mobility will understand how difficult that is. The elevator seems as old as the building, requires coins, and only fits a folded wheelchair.
