Thanks so much!

The dampness was severe enough to feel potentially dangerous, and the drains smelled unbearable throughout the room. The Wi-Fi never worked. The host seemed surprised, though earlier reviews had apparently mentioned the problem for some time. Being in the city center was a plus, but the nearby streets had scaffolding, construction sites, half-collapsed facades and lots of damp. The host offered a partial refund if we left, which would have disrupted our stay, so we ended up putting up with the last couple of days. I’m sorry if you came across this review late, since Airbnb doesn’t write reviews for you, to stop reviews about them from being published.

Our weekend in Naples was largely spent trying to sort out where to sleep. At 2 a.m. on the night we were due to leave, I was told the room I’d booked well in advance was unavailable because of a plumbing problem. We’d already paid for our flight, and I expected another place would be easy to find, but hotels and B&Bs in Naples were sold out. I had to call Booking.com for help. After many calls and about half a day of searching, they found us somewhere much farther from where we’d planned to stay. It caused a lot of inconvenience and took up a big part of our weekend. I don’t want to judge the property harshly, but it was a poor experience. Thank goodness for Booking.com.

The staff helped me over the phone with directions to the arrival point, then even offered us a ride to a typical Neapolitan trattoria where we ate really well. I’m grateful to everyone and will definitely come back. The little place is charming, right in the historic center beside some of Naples’ most characteristic streets. The room had all the comforts, including TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen cupboards had everything needed too.

For €20 a night, parking felt excessive to me. I’ve paid less in central Munich. I’m Neapolitan and paid the full amount without a word, but I wouldn’t stay here again. For the same price there are hotels with much better amenities. The place is very central, but I arrived healthy and left sick from the cold. The room looked nice at first, yet it was practically freezing, and there were only two shower towels for two of us. The showerhead was tied with string. There was air conditioning, but maybe I didn’t set it right or it simply wasn’t working, because it blew cold air instead of heating to 30°C. And in 2023, having no Wi-Fi seems absurd, especially since SIM cards don’t work there. Getting in was a bad start too: you have to make lots of calls to reach anyone, and we ended up checking in over the phone with management.
