When we reached the B&B, no one was there to greet us or show us the room, even though I'd told the host when we would arrive. We had booked three nights in early June, choosing the room for its balcony and soundproofing because I was six months pregnant. Instead, there was a fence where we expected the balcony, and the room wasn't soundproof at all. We called the owner to see if anything could be worked out. After at least an hour, a woman named Ana Maria arrived, already unwilling to find a solution. She yelled that this had never happened before. Maybe she hadn't had this issue with guests before, but it can happen. I said the B&B was nice, just not what the booking description had led us to expect. She offered no solution or refund and left us to go elsewhere in the middle of the day, with 35°C outside and my very pregnant belly. I've travelled a lot and never been treated with such anger and disrespect. If you're looking for kindness and respect, I wouldn't come here. The room also wasn't quiet or soundproof, and there was no usable balcony. She said you can't find peace and quiet in Naples, but that's not true. We went to Marco B&B, 500 meters away, and it was peaceful, quiet, and cheaper. In tourism, guests should be treated respectfully. This was unacceptable, especially with a customer six months pregnant.

The shared spaces were a highlight, with a breakfast area, a fully equipped mezzanine kitchen, a furnished lounge, a piano, and a carefully kept library. Set on the hill of San Potito beside important historic buildings, B&B Palazzo Solimena brings together an old palazzo feel and modern comforts. We found the welcome warm and the atmosphere memorable. The air-conditioned rooms have Wi-Fi and a TV, making them a comfortable place to unwind after exploring Naples.

The neighborhood is lovely, with lots of cultural sights nearby, and the B&B is central and easy to reach by metro, just 100 meters from Museo stop. The metro is right below, so it's easy to get around the city. You're also just steps from the historic center and shopping district. We found the B&B comfortable, with an immaculate room and hospitality that felt as good as a large hotel. I'd happily recommend it.
