Up Hotel

The staff were kind, attentive, helpful, and trustworthy, and the manager has the sweetest dog. We had a large, clean, new room with a view, and the location was central, quiet, and well serviced. My partner and I stayed three nights, and everything was just perfect. The hot shower was really nice too!

I've travelled solo for 11 years, and this was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I wish I could give it zero stars. I found the place absolutely disgusting, and I was deeply disturbed by how the situation was handled by the “manager.” I didn't go to the police because I was afraid, but I have screenshots and evidence. I say avoid this place completely unless you want unwanted contact or fingers put in your private parts. Yes, one of the male managers, whose name I don't know, inserted two fingers inside me. He also knows the room code. I was shocked and scared. The manager called Carly didn't care, and when I was frightened she wouldn't even call to prove that it was her on the phone and not the other man. I don't know his name, but he's 39, married, has two girls and one boy, is very tall, and has a stomach sticking out like he's about to give birth. This was the shock of my life. Even Turkey felt safe for me as a solo traveller.

We spent the night before flying out of Naples here and were fine, despite the area seeming a little shady. It's only a few minutes from several bus stops and the main station. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, though the desk closed at 8pm, as they had clearly told us. The room was basic but had the essentials, with clean sheets and a clean bed. The AC worked. The bathroom could have used a bit more cleaning, but it was acceptable. The hotel isn't as bad as some reviews make it sound.

The hotel left us with a mostly good impression, and we liked it a lot: the room was large and clean, with a balcony we enjoyed, and self check-in was simple with all the instructions sent online. It was a good location too. The room was quite cold, especially the bathroom, which made showering uncomfortable, and the shower cabin was too small. We were disappointed when we asked to add three nights. The room was available, but they quoted a higher price. On booking.com, the rate was still the same discounted price we'd paid for the first night. We wanted to pay that rate directly to the hotel, but they refused and advised us to book again through booking.com. We decided to find another good place and not return.
