Lucio made this stay. He handles the front desk and guest care, and messaged me by email before we arrived so he could be there around our expected check-in time. Checking in was easy, and there's a place to leave luggage if you arrive too early. He was thoughtful and extremely helpful throughout. When we left our big bags behind and took a smaller one for a night on the Amalfi coast, Lucio messaged me on WhatsApp the next day because our beds looked untouched. He was worried something had happened to us, and I felt awful. When we got back, he had lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The fried pizza from the pizzeria right beside the B&B, which he recommended, was delicious. He even gave us a little souvenir representing Naples when we left. The B&B Grande Archivio is on a small street near central Naples, about a 15 minute walk from Napoli Centrale train station. The streets may seem scary at first if you're used to polished tourist areas, but that's just what Naples looks like. It's gritty, like many big cities. Keep an eye out as you would anywhere new, stick to the main streets, and you'll be fine. It had what I needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was STRONG, the rooms were spacious compared with other Italian hotel rooms I've stayed in, and the Wi-Fi worked great. It's not fancy, but everything is modern and well cared for. I'd definitely return to the B&B Grande Archivo.

The room was dirty, there was water all over the bathroom floor, the hot water didn't work, and the lights wouldn't switch off. We had to sleep with them on all night. We came with high hopes after reading the reviews, but ended up dealing with everything mentioned in the negative ones. Reception said she'd look into a refund, then told us there'd be no refund as soon as we'd left. This property was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend it at all.

There was no breakfast, despite the B&B name. We arrived late to find the room wasn't ready: one of the two beds for the kids didn't have sheets, and the floor and bathroom were dirty, with dust balls and hair all over. The room only got cleaned on the second day, after we asked.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and tidy, right in the center. Lucio made the stay a pleasure. I'd absolutely stay here again if I returned to Naples.
