In my opinion, this place isn't publicized much. It's just the courtyard and the original door of the apartment where the legendary Antonio De Curtis was born and spent his childhood. The place needs more storytelling.

It deserves a visit out of respect for Totò, the great Neapolitan artist and man. But from the outside, at least, it looks abandoned. What a shame.

You can walk right up to the front door of this lovely find in the heart of Naples, though the house itself isn't open to visitors. It was bought in the hope of turning it into a museum honoring the great Totò.

Standing here brought back Totò's childhood, and the place has a special atmosphere that stirred up nostalgia and emotion. I still left disappointed. I had hoped there'd be at least a small museum in his former apartment, giving visitors some insight into his life and work, but there wasn't.
