We booked at the last minute, and they were very accommodating about our needs and late check-in. The owner was exceptionally friendly, spoke English, and explained how to get to Pompei from where we were staying. Our room was spacious and clean, with the shower, AC, wifi, and kitchen listed. They made booking and staying so easy, and were so kind. We had a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend it.

Taromy was a lovely, cozy place, nicely equipped with a TV, AC, and a bathroom that had everything we needed. Nothing was a problem for the landlady, who was the best. She got in touch before we arrived and kept checking over WhatsApp to see if everything was okay or we needed anything. She booked us a taxi for the middle of the night when we were leaving and even checked in after the ride. The driver charged us twice what had been agreed with the hotel and pretended not to speak English. When she heard about it later, she actively helped us sort it out and we got our money back. I rate the owners 11/10. The hotel has three rooms. We were usually the only guests, but other people arrived for our last night and we could hear them through the walls, especially in the shower. The surrounding district was quite “free spirited” and somewhat filthy, so the hotel felt like a peaceful oasis. I’d definitely recommend it. You can swim in the sea just across the road, if you can overlook the plastic on the beach. We tried it, and the sea was fine, so don't be too put off by the beach.

My wife and I booked a sea-view room the day before, for six hours at €50. When we got there, the owner showed me a video explaining how to retrieve the key from a box. It was empty, and she confirmed the keys had been stolen. She left us waiting for an answer, then texted that she had no other keys. Things can go wrong, but I think she should have called to apologize and show appreciation to guests who chose her property. I gave one star because that's the lowest rating available.

There was no one available to help, and the service was practically nonexistent. They split our group of three adults and a 16-year-old minor between the sun room and moon room, then told us the second room had been booked and moved all of us into the sun room. They also insisted the minor share a bed with two adults, offering a camp bed as an excuse. The room had poor hygiene, dust everywhere, insects, unstable furniture, and a broken shower. The TV didn't work either, and the whole place felt disorganized.

We booked a sea-view room with a tub, but the facilities were a mess. The TV had no signal, the shower had no door, and the indoor tub was barely large enough for a small person. The outdoor hot tub was inflatable, covered with a tarp when we arrived, and we had to call for help because nobody was at reception. There was dust at the bottom. Its power was poor, so it unplugged every ten minutes, with wires around it that felt dangerous when wet. The wires were burnt too. The hair dryer overheated and unplugged every couple of minutes, so drying our hair took about 20 minutes. The mini-fridge had already used water and Coca-Cola bottles with no caps. The young girl who helped us at reception clearly didn't know the place well and wasn't much help. The owner did nothing to address the problems, or even let us make up a few minutes for the time we'd lost.
