La Stanza a parte

Elena was so kind and helpful throughout our five-night stay as a couple. She made up for the small inconvenience of ongoing renovations in the building, which we'd been told about beforehand. The room is on the second floor of a historic building, just steps from Piazza del Plebiscito. Along with the breakfast items left in the room, she brought us two homemade cakes on two mornings. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

You can sleep peacefully here, and the owner is so kind and happy to share useful information. Breakfast is kept replenished in the room, with juices, yogurt, and assorted packaged snacks. We were lucky to try a wonderful tart the owner had baked herself. The accommodation is spotless and has a small fridge, air conditioning, a hairdryer, and a coffee machine. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from Piazza Plebiscito, so it’s really convenient for exploring central Naples.

Elena was discreet but incredibly kind and helpful, and the room itself was peaceful despite being tucked into Naples' alleyways. It has a kettle, microwave, and refrigerator, plus a roomy, comfortable bathroom. Piazza Plebiscito is just behind it, and the metro, funicular, and ferries are all under a 10-minute walk away. A good fit for a relaxed vacation. One thing to keep in mind if mobility is an issue: it's on the second floor and there's no elevator.

The little alley where La stanza a parte sits is charming, though it could use better lighting at night. Inside, the room faces an inner courtyard and stays quiet, away from street noise. It's only minutes from Piazza Plebiscito, Teatro di San Carlo, and the waterfront. Elena lives across the street and was always available when I had questions. My short trip at the end of December 2021 was fantastic, and this stay helped make it that way. I hope to come back soon.
