LHP Napoli Palace & spa

The breakfast had a good variety, including champagne, and the location near the bus station and train was excellent. We also appreciated that the neighborhood was safe and quiet, since we don't like crowds or loud nightlife. The hotel seems quite new, and our room and bathroom were great. The bed was comfortable and everything went smoothly. We had a very pleasant stay at LHP Hotel and would choose it again if we return to Napoli. For a five-star rating, though, it felt more like a solid four.

I coordinated a 19-room business trip with Imma, with team members arriving and leaving on different dates and at different times, so the booking was a bit complicated. She made everything easy and communicated really well. My colleagues and I all noticed how quiet and lovely the rooms were, and the staff gave fantastic service. The food was great, too. The hotel is within walking distance of the stadium, and there's a metro station nearby for exploring more of Naples.

The pool is decent, and the hotel itself looks presentable and clean. A few staff members were warm and flexible, even letting small things slide, which made things feel easier. Those interactions helped keep my rating from being much lower. A lot of the stay felt expensive for what we'd already paid. Drinks were steep: I had to ask for more from a bottle that still had some left, and an orange juice cost £8 for a tiny cup, though breakfast a couple of hours earlier had unlimited juice. The pool is small, and there isn't much around the hotel, although it's handy for the airport. Parking costs extra and needs to be booked ahead. Restaurant food was overpriced, some ingredients didn't seem fresh, and they wouldn't adjust dishes off menu. Other staff were much less accommodating. Reception at check-in insisted our passports had been returned when they hadn't, which got things off to a bad start. The room's sockets and card holder for the electricity came loose easily, and the toilet splashed when flushed with the lid and seat up. The shower's shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. Someone brought more later, but by then we'd already had to wash without them.

I wish I'd had more time here. My room was a two-room suite with a sauna, Turkish bath, and jacuzzi, and it was beautiful. A spa treatment was included in the room charge, but I didn't get the chance to use it. The hotel is a little outside the city, though getting around wasn't inconvenient. The modern decor was pretty, and everything looked very clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented, and my coworker suggested a few local things to try in Naples. A fabulous stay.
