A traumatic stay. Calling it dirty is putting it mildly. The sofa bed was covered in black dust and the mattress was filthy. Towels were yellowed and smelled of cigarette smoke, the pillows were awful, and the bathroom was filthy with hair all over. Just bad, bad, bad.

The rooms were filthy and the pictures don't show what you actually get. The linens smelled, the bathroom was dirty, and there was hair everywhere. Behind the sofa bed we found dirty socks and balls of dust. A hovel would be cleaner. Completely indecent, I've never seen anything like it.

The house was dirty, the beds were broken, and electrical wires were scattered around. Tin walls, a smoky smell, disgusting bathrooms, and socks under the sofa bed. A complete mess.

You're lucky there's no zero-star rating. WhatsApp customer service was basically nonexistent, except when they happened to remember. Housekeeping was awful: socks under the sofa bed and inside the drawers, plus a moldy shower. Huge cockroaches were crawling around the house. The induction hob was also sending electricity to the oven handle, and my one-year-old daughter and my husband got shocked by it. The air conditioners were extremely dirty on the outside and struggled to cool the house. I've worked as a hotel chambermaid, and my boss would never have let me leave a room in that state for a guest. Never trust Wonderful Italy with your stays.
