Really great service from a lovely team. We had an amazing stay.

The terrace and well-equipped kitchen were a real bonus, and our room was beautiful and comfortable. We spent four days in Naples in mid-September and picked the Via della Riviera di Chiaia area because it felt quiet and safe for three women. Luigi, the owner, was very accommodating and went out of his way to help with our requests. We’ll definitely choose this place again when we return to Naples. Thanks, Luigi, see you soon :)

The location was the one good thing for us. It’s near the coast and football stadium, and the train stop five minutes away can take you to places like Pompeii. The stay itself was a disappointment, and I can’t understand the high rating. Check-in is contactless, with a very long English message sent on WhatsApp. The building is hard to identify: there’s a large courtyard gate with no hotel name, then you enter the code from the message to get through another gate. We had the “Partenope” room on the third floor. The next day the elevator broke and only went as far as the second floor. On our floor, part of it had sunk, so we had to walk over wooden scaffolding. A mini safe outside the door held the keys after entering another code. There was yet another door, and only then, on the right side of the hallway, did we finally see the hotel name. More stairs led to the room. The bathroom was shared on the floor, as were a small kitchen and washing machine. The toilet flush didn’t work during our stay, so every time we had to use the shower hose to flush it. One day they didn’t change the towels, then the next day they brought a whole pile instead. The room was small, though it was enough since we didn’t spend much time there. It had only a balcony looking onto the courtyard. There was a light above my bed that couldn’t be switched off, which was unpleasant at night. We also heard bangs and stomping. There was mold by the refrigerator too. I don’t know who looks after this hotel, but it’s very neglected. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Getting into the building was difficult. It’s a residential property behind a huge gate, with no sign, and you have to contact the host yourself or you can’t get in. We paid extra for the sea-view terrace, but strangers were on it. There was no Wi-Fi, despite what the listing said. The apartment and the building were in an unacceptable state: dirty, poorly maintained, with mold on the walls, trash, and food left by the previous guest. The supposedly fresh towels had thick blood-like stains, including what looked like menstrual stains, and other marks. They clearly hadn’t been washed, as the photos show. This place feels like a total rip-off and borders on assault.
