Buono

It took about 18 minutes to walk to the train station, and I ended up walking everywhere since Naples buses and trams aren't something to count on for being on time. I arrived late at night and felt safe. The room was clean, nice, and quiet overnight.

The hotel is comfortable and well located, with a nice room and a really good breakfast. The passageway beside the room was noisy, though, so earplugs came in handy for sleeping. I'd recommend staying here.

On checkout day I asked reception to call me a taxi. They called someone they knew instead, who had no license, meter, taxi app, or taxi sign on the car. I was charged €35 for a 3-4 km trip, which felt like a scam, possibly arranged with the hotel's knowledge and involvement. The room and bathroom were decent, but both were old and clearly needed renovation. Communication at reception was difficult because the staff didn't speak or understand English well. The neighborhood felt sketchy at any hour. Right outside on the main street there were piles of garbage, fresh filth on the sidewalks, and shady-looking people hanging around. About 500 meters southwest there's a correctional facility that isn't marked on maps, perhaps to avoid worsening the neighborhood's already bad reputation.

It's close to tram and bus stops, and the highway is easy to reach, though traffic noise gets in if the windows are open. Underground car parking costs 10 per day, a good rate. Breakfast had lots of cakes and a good choice of coffee. Good value for the price.
