The only snag was the road up to the villa. It's narrow, unpaved, and full of potholes, and I hope they'll sort it out before our next visit. We stayed there with friends and had a wonderful time overall. The location is handy, a short distance from central Nardò and well placed for the beaches and nearby highlights like Gallipoli, Lecce, and the Taranto coast. The rooms are spacious, and guests have use of a large, fully equipped shared kitchen, a living and TV lounge, and a pool beside the wooded grounds.

We had lovely breakfasts and dinners in the spacious orangery at the back, and the pool was elegant, with comfortable loungers and beautiful evening lighting. This is a peaceful place with plenty of comfort and elegance, set in an important historic residence that feels like stepping back in time. The rooms are spacious and finely furnished, with exquisite details like Murano chandeliers, and every bedroom has a large bathroom.

We rented this beautiful villa for a week in August 2020, with 10 people. The pool and outdoor dining space were lovely, the rooms were beautiful, and the kitchen was practically perfect. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and it was more than acceptably clean when we arrived. The grounds could have been better maintained, though. It came close to five stars 😏
