The hosts were friendly and tried to make the best of things, but there was a lot wrong with the place. It felt run down, the beds were small, and our room wasn't clean and had flies. Putting the little kitchen under the stairs was unhygienic, and the kitchen equipment was scratched or old.

The family who runs this place lives on site and is both friendly and down to earth, with a close eye on everything. There's a restaurant by reservation, a pool, several guest houses, and a clubhouse for weekend or holiday visitors. The whole property is beautifully kept, surrounded by greenery just a few meters from Lake San Liberato. It also has a stable with lovely horses and a dedicated area for training your own horse. A lovely place to relax and enjoy life.

The kids had a wonderful time with the riding lessons, and we all enjoyed the cooking class with Nonna Gabriella. Emanuela and her family cooked us a delicious meal, which we shared in their warm company. Emanuela, her family, and Michaela were so welcoming and gave us lots of useful tips about places to see around the region. We stayed eight nights at beautiful Podere Calledro with our three children. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, and the quiet made it easy to unwind. It was also a great base for exploring Umbria. We'd love to come back and spend more time with our new friends at Podere Calledro. Thank you, Emanuela and Michaela!
