Sporthotel Alpenrose

The people here make this luxurious hotel feel like the home of a very good friend. Every staff member was welcoming, charming, approachable, helpful, and spoke multiple languages. We found the hotel with barely a search and felt lucky to have done so. I'd love to return in any season, many times over. A hidden gem. Before we arrived, I had a lot of questions, and every one was answered quickly and politely, which made planning much less stressful. Our Montlux room was a delight: open plan, cozy, spotless, luxurious, and well equipped. I asked whether there was a kettle because we like tea. They said there wasn't one, but that I could get hot water in the car 24/7. When we arrived, there was a kettle, two mugs, and a selection of teas and infusions on a lovely tray. Such a thoughtful gesture. The public areas are superb, kept spotless, cozy, and inviting. The drink and wine selection is astonishing and unusual. Forst cero was the best 0% beer I've ever tasted, and it's from a local brewery. The food was an immensely high standard all week. Though it's described as 3/4 board, it works out as almost full board: breakfast from 07:30 to 11:15, so there's time to eat, catch the first lift at 08:30, ski, come back for a snack, ski again, and return at 15:30 for cake, cold meats, salad, soup, and bread before the five-course dinner at 19:15. You won't need to buy food on the mountain. We didn't have or taste a single thing that wasn't sublime. Ski rental is right in the hotel, slick, professional, helpful, and very well priced. The spa has a range of treatments, and we had one each day. The masseuse was lovely, skilled, and professional, a delight to talk with and be treated by. The indoor and outdoor pool area, with sauna, steam room, and IR room, is fantastic and relaxing. It's kept clean and tidy, with a station for soft fruit and tea infusions. Ski slopes are right outside the boot room, with the ticket office and ski school close by. There were no lift queues, and the slopes were quiet and beautifully managed. There are also plenty of walks with stunning mountain views, easy to reach from the hotel.

We loved our stay at the charming Residence Alpenrose. The hostess was so kind and welcoming, and everything was clean, beautiful, and cozy. Every detail seemed thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable. We'd gladly recommend it.

A stunning hotel where you can step straight out to go skiing. The food and vino were good, and the service was very kind.

We felt right at home here. The location gives you the best views and plenty to do each day, while the food is incredible. Breakfast has loads of choices, and dinner is mouthwatering. The staff in general are gentle, always available, and smiling. The only things I'd change are the mattress, which makes a small noise when we move, and the fact that we couldn't see a difference between the classic doble room and the superior one we paid for. Still, it was a perfect hotel for a wonderful week of winter vacation. Congratulations to the staff!
