Hotel Cavour Novara

The room itself was good, and the lobby felt pleasantly cool, but the air conditioning in our room didn't work properly on a very hot day. My wife and I were only there to rest before my flight, and we couldn't sleep. We asked reception for help at 1 a.m.; they lowered the setting from 24°C to 20°C, but the room was still far too hot. We had to leave before breakfast, so didn't get to try it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel in summer.

We had a good breakfast in a pleasant, quiet setting, and the reception and breakfast lounge staff were very polite. Everything was clean. The Junior Suite was well priced and came with good bath products and complimentary cold water bottles. The hotel is easy to find and reach, within walking distance of the city centre. Private parking connects directly to reception by elevator.

The breakfast has improved and is absolutely good by Italian standards. Some smaller things could still be better, like having dedicated shampoo, but nothing would stop me recommending the hotel now. The rooms seem to have been at least partly renewed and look quite nice. The staff have been friendly on my past visits and were friendly again this time. It was clearly a better experience. Keep it up!

The breakfast was a major problem: too few tables and not enough staff. Even though the team tried hard to help, we waited for a table to be set, for plates, and for coffee. The buffet also had limited choices and quantities. Staff were kind and helpful, and the EV charging point is a big plus. Rooms were spacious and nice, but didn't feel like four-star rooms. The location was noisy and unpleasant.
