Rosso Di Sera

A nice spot among the vineyards, with rooms available as a B&B and what looked like a lovely pool. We stayed elsewhere in an Airbnb this time, but maybe we'd sleep here on another visit. Dinner was good, our waitress was nice, and the prices were very fair compared with other places nearby. We had eggplant parmigiana to start, then tagliatelle with mushrooms and tortellini in amaretto sauce. No dessert, just two glasses of wine. They brought over a bottle of house grappa and amaretto with two shot glasses at the end. The bill was 48€ for two glasses of house wine, a bottle of water, one starter, and two pasta dishes. They don't charge a cover, which I thought was very honest. I'd recommend it and would come back if I'm in the area.

We loved our stay at Rossi Di Sera and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Roberta and Marco were so warm and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Our room had a kitchen, which meant we could prepare food for our little toddler. The food and wine were amazing, and our daughter, along with both her parents, fell for their little puppy, Kajsa. Everything about the place was lovely.

The homemade breads, dishes with Alba truffle, gnocchi rosso, steak, fish, and homemade grappas were all delicious. We visited two days in a row while staying in Verghe / Barolo, and both times the young chef assistants proudly explained the piemontese food, suggested a wine that suited our dinner, and brought out complimentary specialties to taste. The young woman who welcomed us was lovely and helped us choose wine. The traditional house sits in a beautiful green garden, with a great view, and the hospitality was warm. They were also very careful about covid measures, if that matters to you. Each evening, the fresh food and wine came to around 60 Eur, which felt like a great price. Thank you for creating such a lovely memory for us!

We loved the atmosphere, the service was great, and the view was amazing. The food was some of the best we had in Italy. After we left, we were already craving another meal there because everything we'd eaten was so good.
