B&B Sa Mendula

We had a great time relaxing by the pool, and the place is also well situated for seeing inland Sardinia or the lovely coves around the Gulf of Orosei. It's surrounded by greenery, with large, comfortable rooms that were spotless. The hospitality and service were five-star. I've saved it as a favorite for another Sardinia trip. Highly recommend 😉

We were eight friends staying for two nights, and Massimo made us feel right at home. It's a simple, authentic B&B, with a pool that adds a wonderfully relaxing touch. His jams were amazing too. Definitely recommend it!

The setting is what stays with you: the farmhouse looks out over the Barbagia mountains, and the quiet is remarkable day and night. After dark, the sky is either beautifully lit by a full moon or full of stars. Out front there's a sheltered porch, plus a big white marble table from the Orosei quarries for eating outside when the weather allows. We spent 10 days there in August 2021, and the rooms were clean and very spacious. Ours had a double bed, a single bed, wardrobe, table and chair, and a fridge. The bathroom was large, with a practical shower that worked well and a window. Breakfast was satisfying, with Gina's cakes, yogurt, jams, cereal, toast, juice, and fresh eggs. Massimo and Gina were warm and always available, and we had plenty of laughs listening to Massimo's stories and watching his lively expressions, with their well-behaved Spitz, Leo, nearby. Cala Gonone and Cala Fuili are about 25 minutes away, and Nuoro and Oliena are 7 km and 4.5 km away. We came by motorcycle and loved the smooth asphalt and exciting curves. The drive is a little slower by car, but still comfortable. Thanks, Massimo and Gina, for a lovely 10 days.

The pool has a lovely view over the valley, and the place feels like a little paradise beneath the mountains. The owners were kind, shared ideas for things to see and do, and let us try their delicious olive oil. We stayed three nights and would book here again if we return to Sardinia. Highly recommended.
