Cascina Bricco

I think it was about 10 years ago that we stayed here, quite by chance while looking for somewhere along our route to Tuscany. We couldn't find the place at first. On the phone with the host family, the only word we could make out was “Lidl.” We’d already driven past it about 20 times, so they came to pick us up there and finally showed us in. We were among their very first guests then. The next three days were fantastic. We’d never been welcomed so warmly or with such generosity anywhere else. We had heartfelt conversations and were treated to delicious home-cooked meals several times. I was once told I should propose to my girlfriend because we made such a lovely couple. I said I’d never do that. I hadn’t counted on her proposing to me instead, so the owner turned out to be absolutely right. Only now have we realized we never wrote a review, even though the memories are still vivid. It’s a fantastic place run by incredibly kind people, and it can’t disappoint. If you happen to read this, we hope all is well, and perhaps one day we’ll return with our three children. Warm greetings, The Mecklenfeld family from the Netherlands
