Il Melograno

My parents enjoyed their stay at this bed and breakfast, though they did mention that there wasn’t a TV in the room. Otherwise, it was okay.

Padenghe is peaceful and well placed for trips around Lake Garda, as well as Verona, Mantua, and Brescia. It’s less picturesque than Limone or some of the busier tourist spots, but we found it relaxing. From the apartment, the castle, town center, and lakeshore are all about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The apartment has a bedroom and living area together, a separate bathroom, and a dining room. There’s also a courtyard and garden, plus a parking spot inside the courtyard, which can be locked. The mattresses are comfortably firm, and there are plenty of toiletries. What really gives the place its character is the old house itself. The original dark wooden ceiling beams and some exposed brickwork create a lovely historic feel, and the furnishings and little details are thoughtfully chosen. The hosts are warm and happy to help if you need anything. Breakfast was generous, varied, and adjusted to what we liked. Giulia also helped us plan our days and shared tips for outings, restaurants, shopping, and current events. Giulia, her husband, and their lovely children made a wonderful host family. We can’t think of anything they could have done better. B&B il Melograno de Garda is a great place to stay. Thanks again to Giulia and her family!

The family made us feel very welcome and were always ready with helpful advice for our holiday. A lovely place, and I’d happily recommend it.

The balconies have lovely views, especially when the sun is out. I was there with my girlfriend over New Year’s Eve, and it was my first time at a B&B. Marina and her husband made us feel at home, like old friends. The rooms are spacious, with lots of books and objects around. I also liked the old wooden doors, which have been renovated but still have a little gap underneath that adds to the rustic feel.
