Blooms Botanical Rooms

The gardens and Botanical house are beautiful, and well worth a visit.

Really nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Okay.

The room above ours was either empty, occupied by people who didn't hear well, or by guests in difficult circumstances, which seems unlikely at those prices. We could hear every footstep and every scrape or roll overhead, as if someone were moving house. It started at 7 a.m. on a Sunday. So that saying on the wall in our Brattea Blue room, “Earth laughs in Flowers,” might be better changed to “Earth wakes up very early.” Getting inside was another problem. The instructions said to hold the ID card we'd already submitted in front of a camera by the front door to receive the entry code. It didn't work, though fortunately we got the code by phone. There are also plenty of rules and warnings around the house, including reminders to put rubbish in the bin. It gives the impression that previous guests must have caused some very bad experiences.
