Casa Falco - 15 min dalla stazione

We had a lovely balcony facing a quiet inner courtyard, which made the room feel pleasant. The rooms are well insulated, so we couldn’t hear other guests or outside sounds, and everything worked perfectly. The hotel terrace is really nice and worth spending time on. The location was great, and the staff were super friendly and attentive to making sure guests had a good stay.

The experience was totally strange and negative. The place felt somewhere between a hospice, an elderly care home, and a student dorm, and it didn’t feel like a “casa” at all. The Booking pictures are completely misleading and nothing like the reality. In my opinion, it should be rated around 3-4 and cost no more than 30 eur. per night.

This is a cheap, clean place to stay in Padua, and at these prices it’s hard to beat. It’s part hostel and part hotel, with a college dorm feel, helped along by visiting students in this major university city. It’s not a romantic hideaway. The location is convenient, about halfway between the rail station and old town. Staff are helpful, the breakfast buffet has plenty of choices, and there’s a rooftop terrace with wonderful city views. Laundry is available, though only until 9 pm. Rooms have a late IKEA look, with plenty of outlets and/or charging ports. The bathrooms are tiny, and the showers even smaller. Overall, about as basic as a hotel gets.
