A big plus was the gluten-free snacks provided for breakfast. The room was comfortable, though it got very little sun. To reach it, you have to climb a narrow staircase, which wasn’t ideal after a full day of walking around as a tourist.

This isn’t a fully staffed hotel. Desk clerks are there for check-in, while the street below has coffee bars and places to eat. Ask for a front room, ideally on an upper floor. The piazza market is a pleasure to watch and listen to, and it’s part of the property’s charm, but if evening noise bothers you, bring earplugs. The nighttime sound is tolerable, and the market stalls start setting up very early, before daylight.

Paolo was a very friendly and helpful host. The rooms were elegant and clean, and the location is perfect, right on the main piazza among cafés, restaurants, and the daily Mercato. A really lovely place.

Glad we found this hotel. It has good rooms at a very reasonable price, right on the main square. A very good place to stay in Padova.

The interior was clean and well appointed, the prices very fair, and the host especially friendly. I’d strongly recommend it for a one-night stop or a longer vacation.
