We found the street’s noise and bustle didn’t bother us, and the place felt like staying with a friend. The host was kind and happy to chat, and he shared a map he’d made with his brother, packed with food ideas, activities, and day trips from Palermo. He also let us leave our bags early after our overnight ferry arrived. The room was comfortable, with reliable Wi-Fi and A/C. The location is convenient for the main food markets, and there’s a café right across the street serving amazing cornettos in a sophisticated setting at a very reasonable price. We were also able to check in a little early because the room was ready. Great value, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Palermo.

The host was lovely and knew the city well, and the location made it easy to explore on foot. It’s good value for the money. Just keep in mind that this is a historical building, and the street-facing rooms can be a bit noisy. The bathroom could use a small upgrade.

The owner looked after us so well, and we felt completely at ease. Il Lapino was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely outdoor area. The space was amazing and honestly better than we expected. We’d definitely recommend it!

Ivan was a great host and was happy to share suggestions on what to see and do around Palermo. Our second-floor room had a small balcony overlooking the street, a full-size double bed, good air-conditioning, and a bathroom with a toilet, bidé, and bathtub. There’s a small breakfast area on each of the first and second floors, where you can get coffee, yogurt, toast, cornflakes, and similar basics. The first-floor area also opens onto an outdoor terrace, where a really cute cat lives. Excellent place and location.

Il Lapino is right in the center, making it easy to walk around charming Palermo. My room was sunny, tidy, and pleasant, and the shared area was kept in good shape. Check-in was handled with lots of help. It deserves five stars, and I’d gladly come back. Thanks for a lovely stay!
