The neighborhood is wonderfully quiet, with lots of garden and patio space, at least half an acre. Villa Soliva sits among Mondello’s beach community and local village, with bus stops for historic Palermo nearby. Inside, the house has excellent climate control and an enclosed sunroom with STUNNING ocean and mountain views. ANTONELLO was friendly and quick to help with the few specific things we needed. Highly recommend staying here.

We arrived on August 10, 2024 for a week, and by August 11 there was no water. The host said the cistern needed to refill and promised it would be back in a few hours, but there was still none when we returned that evening. He said it would come later that night or definitely by morning. On August 12, we still had no water, so we couldn’t flush the toilets, shower, use the kitchen, or do laundry. It was impossible to stay, and luckily we found a hotel in Palermo. The host is refusing a refund, saying the circumstances were beyond his control. That’s not acceptable. We lost time and had a huge extra cost on our vacation.

Antonello was an ideal host, always reachable and quick to answer any questions. Ask him about the old man who sells Olive Oil, it’s worth hearing about! I was happy with my nearly two months at Villa Soliva. The house is great for relaxing, and it’s well placed for exploring the beauties Sicily has to offer.

We really enjoyed staying at this villa near Mondello. The owner was very helpful whenever we needed something, and the views over Mondello were excellent. I’d advise having a car.

Our apartment was clean and in perfect order, with very comfortable rooms. Mr. Antonello welcomed us warmly, and we had a genuinely peaceful, relaxing week.
