4/10
The bathroom had been newly renovated, which was good, and the location is convenient, close to the city center with the Toschi garage nearby. The room itself wasn’t a great experience: it was very basic and not nice, though the interior was interesting. The AC is just a fan and doesn’t cool the place. Neither the flat nor the room could be locked, which didn’t feel very comfortable. If you’re looking for a budget stay and can overlook those things, it’s OK.

The room was clean, but I felt uneasy about the neighborhood and had to keep the windows open because the air conditioning wouldn’t work. I’d paid for a room with AC, yet the manager said I wasn’t allowed to use it and had locked the thermostat controls. The manager was extremely rude during our stay, too. Check-in was complicated and didn’t feel secure: although I booked through booking.com, I was asked to send personal details and payment through various unsecured third-party links. That isn’t booking.com policy. Bad experience all around.

The staff were great and the rooms were good. The AC barely seemed to work, even left at 18°C all night, and the room still smelled musty when we first entered. It could use a good airing.

A comfortable, quaint room, and the bathroom was bigger than I expected, especially the shower. The accommodation is pretty inexpensive and in a very convenient spot. Well worth the price.

Clean and comfortable, and well placed for a stop overnight. It’s a good spot for that.
