I arrived in Tuscany without much of a plan, and Lizzy helped me fill my days with lovely places to go. Her suggestions for towns, wineries, and restaurants all worked out great. Back at the house, she and Lorenzo made sure I was comfortable, from breakfast each morning to asking how my day had gone when I returned. The homemade jams and ricotta pound cake were delicious. That kind of personal warmth made the stay special, and I’m so glad I met them. It’s an experience I’ll remember for a long time.

We were made to feel at home straight away by Lizzy and Lorenzo, who run this lovely B&B in the Tuscan hills. Their local suggestions took us to a brewery, a farm shop, and a dairy, and we enjoyed them all. One evening, sharing a glass of their homemade wine felt like a perfect example of their thoughtfulness. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade jams, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming. There’s a friendly cat or two around, too. Peccioli, Volterra, and San Gimignano are all well placed for a visit from here. The setting is beautiful, but Lizzy and Lorenzo’s kindness is what made our stay unforgettable.

It was easy to settle in at this peaceful place in the Tuscan countryside. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, spotless, and nicely decorated, and the occasional meow from one of the cats added to the cozy feel. Breakfast was a real treat: croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereals, local cheese, and several homemade jams. We tried blackberry and pear, lemon, and bittersweet orange, and you can buy jars to take home. Lizzy and Lorenzo also invited us to share their wine and crackers one evening, a small but lovely gesture. Their tips made exploring the area easier. Peccioli is very close, while Volterra and San Gimignano are about 30 minutes away. There are nature paths nearby, and Lizzy had good hiking suggestions. We followed her advice to visit a brewery using its own ancient grains, an agricultural shop with local pasta, crackers, and biscuits, and a dairy where we tasted fresh cheeses at breakfast. The landscape is gorgeous, and the location works well as a base for Tuscan villages. Lizzy and Lorenzo welcomed us like old friends and were always happy to chat about the region and their own experiences. Their care shows in all the little details, including the lovingly prepared breakfast. We left with lovely memories of the food and setting, but especially of their warmth. They really made us feel looked after, and we’d happily recommend a stay here.

Lizzy really knows the area and gave us lots of ideas for things to do, including activities happening while we were there. The room was clean and comfortable, and the toilet was well equipped. It’s easy to locate on Google Maps, and getting here by car from Florence was convenient.

Breakfast in the garden, together with the other guests, made it feel like we were all one big family. Everything was fresh, the coffee was magnificent, and the meal was outstanding. Lizzy and her husband were so welcoming and ready to help with whatever we needed. Our room was beautiful and spacious, and the bathroom had plenty of room too. This lovely 200-year-old farmhouse and its owners are hard to praise enough. We’ll definitely be back next year.
