Chalet Alpenrose Bio Wellness Naturhotel

The chalet itself is beautifully done, with charming old details inside and out, and a nearby stream you can hear from the stunning surroundings. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back. Getting there by train and bus to Cogolo was easy, and Stefanie kindly picked us up. We felt warmly welcomed right away. The family atmosphere continued at meals: Tiziano cooked delicious food, and the dining room was cozy. As a vegetarian, I especially enjoyed the creative, tasty vegetable dishes. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of choice and lovely presentation. Since we had no car, the guided mountain hike in Val di Rabbi with Martina was a highlight and let us see another area. She's an experienced guide and told us about local plants, flowers, and history along the way. Martina and her daughter Stefani also gave us a map and plenty of suggestions for other hikes and routes. On our last day, Tiziano even drove us to Mezzana station. A quiet, peaceful place within walking distance of the city center, though it's a little outside it. This is a small family-run hotel with a small but comfortable room. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and it was good value for money.

The setting in the green woods of the Val di Pejo mountains, beside a stream, is breathtaking. Tiziano, Martina, and Stephany run the family business with real courtesy, kindness, empathy, and professionalism. The organic food is made with strictly local products, and they make you feel like family. My wife Roberta and I will remember this lovely stay for a long time. Maybe we'll come back someday.

The welcome from Martina, Tiziano, and the whole staff is incredible, and you can see the care and passion in every detail. The chalet is splendidly restored, with antique woodwork and Tyrolean pieces restored by Tiziano throughout. Tiziano also cooks an impressive range of fresh specialties, including roe deer he hunts himself, prepared divinely, and the desserts are made with great care. Chalet Alpenrose sits on the Masi di Guilanova road in Stelvio National Park, surrounded by nature, beside the river and near woodland trails. It's close to Cogolo, where a free bus goes to the Peio slopes. Folgarida and Daolasa are also nearby, and from those slopes you can reach Madonna di Campiglio, at Passo Tonale. There's a sauna and Turkish bath too, plus mountain views in the SPA WELLNESS. Pets are welcome, so the whole family can come. We've made a yearly visit to Alpenrose a lovely routine, and prefer it to other ski destinations for all these reasons. It offers a family welcome and access to Italy's best ski resorts, with excellent value. Passionate people know how to surprise you.
